VIKO acquires Socialmood: a strategic boost for creativity in digital marketing

VIKO has announced the acquisition of Socialmood, the well-known Madrid-based creative agency. This transaction, part of VIKO's inorganic growth roadmap, seeks to expand its strategic creative capabilities and strengthen its ecosystem of specialized companies. Socialmood, a benchmark in the creative agency space Founded in 2008 by Lucas García, Socialmood has made a name for itself in the market thanks to its strategic creative approach, focused on differentiation and authenticity, which has allowed it to work with leading brands such as Barceló and Inditex. Following the transaction, the agency will maintain its brand, team, and leadership from Madrid, operating autonomously but fully integrated with the rest of the companies in the VIKO ecosystem, promoting active collaboration between them and generating new opportunities for its clients. For Socialmood, this integration represents an opportunity to consolidate its position. Lucas García expressed his excitement about this new phase: “We didn't want to grow at any price. We wanted to grow meaningfully, without losing what makes us different. In VIKO, we have found a group with a culture that respects independence, encourages collaboration between companies, and, above all, believes in people. This is a new phase that we face with enthusiasm, because we know we can achieve great things while remaining Socialmood.” A further step in VIKO's strategic expansion This integration marks VIKO's third acquisition in the last three years, following the entry of Optopus in 2023 (specializing in digital shelf) and IDE360 in 2024 (a pharmaceutical marketing consultancy). With Socialmood, VIKO seeks to incorporate a valuable asset that complements its operational architecture, which includes expert units in data intelligence, AI solutions, performance, full digital commerce, training, and digital talent. Rubén Ferreiro, president of VIKO, underscored the philosophy behind this expansion: “Our growth model combines operational solidity with a long-term vision. We are committed to integrating companies with talent, specialization, and a compatible culture. With Socialmood, we are expanding our creative capabilities, in line with our ambition to continue growing profitably and sustainably. Their way of working—bold, critical, and with their own unique style—fits perfectly with our vision.” The strategy of VIKO, a Digital Business Factory with more than 25 years of experience in creating and scaling digital businesses, to which Marketing4eCommerce belongs, is based on complementary capabilities, respect for each company's identity, and the pursuit of real synergies. Thus, Socialmood will strengthen VIKO's creative offering, adding value in areas such as brand storytelling, creative conceptualization, and special campaigns. Its style and methodology, based on a strategic vision of creativity, are integrated with the VIKO ecosystem, which includes Elogia (Full Digital Commerce), Kraz (AI consulting applied to marketing), Candee (digital talent selection), Elev8 (digital training), Optopus (digital shelf), Kaibos (native brands on Amazon), and Marketing4eCommerce (a specialized medium). This vision is already bearing fruit, with gross margin projections exceeding €17 million and an estimated EBITDA of over €2.5 million for this year, consolidating VIKO as one of the most profitable and promising independent organizations in the sector. The Digital Business Factory, which has nearly 300 professionals distributed between Spain and Mexico, continues to analyze new opportunities in complementary areas. “We look for talent, technology, and a compatible culture. Our goal is not to grow through volume, but to consolidate a structure capable of supporting the most demanding brands on all fronts of modern digital marketing,” concludes Ferreiro.

Google fixes the inflated impressions problem in Search Console… but won't correct the historical data..

We told you about it exactly a month ago: Google acknowledged that an unspecified issue had caused the impressions counted in Search Console to be inflated since May 2025 (yes, a year ago). At the time, Google simply stated that they were working on the problem and that once it was fixed, "you may see a decrease in impressions in the Search Console performance report." Well, that moment has arrived. In a new post, Google announced that...
