TikTok has announced a suite of new AI tools designed to simplify the process of creating high-quality content and boost the community's earning potential. New AI-powered editing options on TikTok To streamline the creation process, TikTok has introduced Smart Split, an AI-powered editing tool available globally in TikTok Studio Web. Smart Split is designed to take long-form content, such as a vlog or podcast episode longer than one minute, and automatically transform it into multiple short videos ready for the platform. This intelligent tool handles trimming, reframing, transcribing, and subtitling the content, though creators retain full control to select video segments, choose specific durations, and adjust subtitle formats and vertical reframing. Complementing this, TikTok is launching AI Outline, a key tool for overcoming creative blocks and improving planning. AI Outline assists creators by generating suggestions for titles, hooks, and hashtags based on a prompt or popular topics identified in creator search statistics. By generating a detailed, fully customizable six-part outline, the tool provides a framework for creators to refine their script idea and adapt it to their style before filming. Enhanced Monetization Furthermore, in the area of monetization, TikTok has announced a significant change to its subscription revenue sharing model. Now, creators who use this option to build stronger communities and offer exclusive content will see a greater return: they will receive 70% of TikTok's revenue share. In addition, those who meet specific performance requirements—such as having 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last month, and having published at least three exclusive videos—will be able to unlock an additional 20% monthly reward. This incentive structure allows the most engaged creators to earn up to 90% of subscription revenue, significantly boosting their earning potential on the platform.
Meta seemed to be falling behind in the AI race. While Google was heavily investing in models like Gemini (formerly Bard) and its integration across its entire ecosystem (Search, Ads, Workspace), and Apple was advancing with its on-device AI approach and its Apple Intelligence offering, Mark Zuckerberg's giant had been using artificial intelligence within its platform for years (campaign optimization, segmentation, delivery algorithms), but...
