Temu launches its new app for Shopify in Spain: a gateway to millions of global customers.

Undoubtedly, when we look back at the most important events of 2025, Temu will be among them. This Chinese marketplace, as popular as it is controversial, entered our market a couple of years ago, and since then it has become a benchmark. Established as one of the apps that consistently ranks among the top downloads in Spain, it has now taken another step forward to become even more ubiquitous. Facilitating sales on the trendiest app Temu has launched a new application that makes it easier for Shopify merchants to list and manage their products directly on the Temu marketplace. This app, already available on the Shopify App Store, allows users to synchronize their product catalog, update inventory in real time, and manage orders and shipments automatically, all from within the Shopify platform. With this tool, sellers can access Temu's Local Seller Program, allowing them to reach customers in over 30 countries, including Spain, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia, without needing to create separate infrastructure for each market. The Local Seller Program, launched in 2024, enables small businesses to sell and manage orders within their own markets, improving delivery speed and expanding the range of products available to local shoppers. With the app, Shopify merchants can quickly sync their products with Temu, giving them access to millions of potential customers across more than 600 product categories, reducing operating costs and the complexity of multichannel management. How to start selling on Temu Beyond this integration, if you're interested in selling on Temu, the official process, according to the seller portal, is free to register. The first step is to enter your business information, where you must select whether you're registering as a corporation, partnership, sole proprietor, or simply as an individual seller. Next, you must provide your seller information, including details such as certificate type, address, and seller name. The third step is to set up your Temu store by adding the name, logo, and contact information. Finally, you must complete the verification process to start selling. The required documentation varies: - If you are an individual seller, you need your full legal name, citizenship, date and place of birth, residential address, a government-issued ID (driver's license or passport), and its expiration date. - If you are a business, you must provide the business registration information (business type, name, EIN, and registered address). In addition, the owners, representatives, or executives must provide their personal information (name, citizenship, date of birth, address, and ID). Bank statements, bank confirmation letters, third-party payment statements, or utility bills containing the business or representative name are accepted as proof of address. Temu states that the review of applications is typically completed within one business day.
