Meta has launched WhatsApp Business Tools MCP, an MCP server designed to facilitate the connection between a coding agent, such as Claude Code or ChatGPT's Codex, and the WhatsApp Business platform. This new system allows agents to access the WhatsApp business accounts you manage, add and register phone numbers, create and manage message templates, configure webhooks, and send messages on your behalf across the applications and businesses you manage. The idea is that, from now on, users' agents can operate more easily in this environment: "You describe what you need; your agent manages the accounts, numbers, templates, and API calls," Meta explained in a statement. Specifically, with the new WhatsApp Business Tools MCP, developers can: Request their agent to configure WhatsApp Business messaging. Thanks to this new system, agents can complete the entire process, from checking the status of the terms of service to creating a WhatsApp Business account, adding a phone number, verifying it with an OTP code, and registering it with the cloud API. They can describe the message template they want to use. The agent will create it or edit an existing one. They can send a live message to validate the integration from start to finish and configure callback URLs. They can identify common configuration errors that often go unnoticed (pending payment methods, business verification, or contract signatures) and have direct links to resolve them. As you can see, this is a very useful new feature for developers. Until now, to implement a WhatsApp Business integration, you had to switch between the developer console, the business manager, the API reference, and the editor. "That's a lot of configuration before writing any actual code," Meta acknowledges. Thus, setting up WhatsApp Business is no longer a process of navigating through dashboards and documentation, but rather a task that can be executed using natural language instructions. The New Era of MCPs We are increasingly hearing about Model Context Protocols (MCPs) and their importance in the emerging agentic context of the internet. These are systems that act as a bridge between different AIs and data sources or tools, allowing these technologies to "understand" each other. This open standard allows AI models and agents to discover and use external tools, data, and services through a common interface. Perhaps for this reason, they have sometimes been described as USB connectors for artificial intelligence. In fact, this isn't the first time we've discussed technologies of this type in the marketing environment. For example, Google has launched an official MCP server for Google Ads that allows AI assistants to query, analyze, and retrieve campaign data using natural language. Another social media giant like TikTok also took an important step in this direction a few months ago, launching its Ads Model Context Protocol Server, which allows developers and brands to create autonomous AI agents that manage campaigns within the TikTok Ads ecosystem without the need for manual intervention.
Real-time voice interaction with AI assistants is one of the areas where Google is focusing its efforts to offer a smoother user experience. Their latest advancement in this area is the recently announced Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking models. These voice assistants, like their predecessors, allow for fluid, natural, and real-time voice conversations, but they stand out for their significant advancements in reasoning capabi...
Amazon has just launched “Shop the Show,” a feature designed a year ago to allow viewers to purchase merchandise, clothing, or accessories featured in their favorite movies, TV shows, and sporting events in real time without pausing the main screen. How Shop the Show Works Surely you've watched a show and wondered where a character's outfit came from, like Ali's dress in Off Campus. Unlike other shoppable TV models that cl...
