Shopping is not just about shopping. You have to explore the options, discover new trends and research the correct prices of the product. At the annual Search On event, Google announced nine new ways that are transforming the way users buy in the search engine. Thus, they offer a more immersive, informed and personalized shopping experience.
New visual ways to shop
1. Search with the word “store”. Now they offer a new way to unlock the shopping experience on Google. When you search in the United States for the word "store" followed by any item you add to your search, you'll access a visual feed of products, research tools, and nearby inventory related to that product. On the other hand, they are expanding the shoppable search experience beyond clothing to all categories, from electronics to beauty.
2. Shop the look. If we have a look or even a new fall wardrobe staple in mind, like a bomber jacket, the tool will show us images of bomber jackets and accessory pieces, plus options for where to buy them, all within search.
3. What is fashionable. Trending Products is a new feature in search that displays products that are currently popular within a category. This helps to discover the latest models, styles and brands.
4. Shop in 3D. People interact with 3D images almost 50% more than static ones. Earlier this year, they released 3D images of household items to Search. Soon there will be 3D images of shoes, such as sneakers, while we search. Thanks to their advances in machine learning, they can now automate 360-degree flips of sneakers using a few still photos (instead of hundreds). This new technology will be available in the coming months.
Tools to buy with confidence
5. Facilitate complex purchases. For those tougher decisions, the new buying guide shares helpful information about a category from a wide range of trusted sources, all in one place. For example, when buying a mountain bike, the buying guide will display information about size, suspension, weight, and materials. Thus, you can investigate and make faster decisions with confidence.
6. See what other buyers think. This new feature of the Google app gathers useful context about a webpage you're browsing or a product, like its pros and cons and star ratings, all in one view. To find the best deal, we can easily opt-in to receive price drop updates.
More personal shopping experiences
7. Personalized results. More personalized shopping results based on past shopping habits. We will also have the option to indicate preferences directly, as well as controls to easily disable personalized results if we want.
8. Buy with new filters. Full page shopping filters in search are now dynamic, adapting based on real-time search trends. So if we want to shop for jeans, we'll look at filters for "wide leg" and "bootcut" as those are the popular denim styles right now, but those can change over time depending on what's trending.
9. Inspiration beyond the search box. Using Discover in the Google app, there are suggested styles based on recent purchases and searches. For example, if we like vintage, we'll see suggested queries for popular vintage looks.
With these new features, the Google shopping experience just got a lot easier, more intuitive, and more fun. In this way, the tools can help us find what we want more quickly.
WhatsApp isn't slowing down. The reigning messaging app has just announced a round of updates designed to improve the user experience, optimize productivity, and, above all, integrate AI more organically into our daily lives. 1. Goodbye to the "You need to free up space to continue" message Who hasn't had their phone's storage limit filled up with videos from the family group chat? Until now, managing storage was a somewhat...
The short answer is that it's a premium Instagram subscription currently being tested in select countries. These countries are a bit far away (India, Japan, the Philippines, and Mexico are some examples), which is why you might not have noticed yet. Now, having answered the question in the title, "What is Instagram Plus?" We already knew that Meta was going to include some premium subscriptions on its platforms, but we didn't kn...
