Why do consumers value the shopping experience on AliExpress so much?

Forget long queues, compare thousands of products from the comfort of your sofa, and receive them in just a few days: this is how many Spaniards describe the experience of shopping on AliExpress. This platform, launched in 2010, has managed to establish itself as a favorite thanks to a combination of convenience, low prices, speed, and reliability. According to AliExpress's Consumer Insights Report* from July 2025, 95% of Spanish consumers would recommend the platform to family and friends, reflecting an unusually high level of satisfaction in the sector. Convenience and trust: the pillars of customer loyalty AliExpress has become synonymous with ease and practicality. It's no coincidence that 89% of Spaniards consider shopping on the platform to be convenient and easy, or that 72% say they trust it as a safe place to buy products. The user-friendly interface, real-time order tracking, and efficient customer service—positively rated by 63% of users—reinforce this trust. Consumers particularly highlight the speed of refunds and returns, which eliminates one of the biggest fears when shopping online.
User reviews demonstrate how this trust translates into customer loyalty. One shopper explained: “The return process is quick, and the refund is always full. Nothing negative to say.” Another highlighted the transparency of the shopping process, from product selection to home delivery. Low prices and unlimited variety One of AliExpress's biggest draws remains its prices. The ability to buy directly from manufacturers and distributors worldwide allows consumers to access affordable products without intermediaries, as evidenced by these figures: 91% of Spaniards say AliExpress is affordable. 82% say they get more for their money on the platform, meaning they can buy more items for less. 62% highlight the possibility of finding major brands at incredible prices. The breadth of the catalog is another key aspect. 90% of Spanish consumers agree that AliExpress offers a wide range of products and plenty of options, making the platform a virtually limitless marketplace, encompassing everything from fashion and electronics to home goods and accessories. One user summed it up this way: “Great prices, fast delivery, and I find everything I'm looking for.” Others noted how even Christmas gifts or household purchases have become a regular habit on AliExpress. Fast shipping and price guarantee While the cross-border origin of many products might raise concerns, the data dispels these misconceptions: 61% of Spanish consumers say the products they bought on AliExpress arrived quickly. Examples like that of one user who received her order “in less than six days” or another customer who mentioned receiving an item “the next day” highlight the improvement in delivery times. This reflects AliExpress's strategy of incorporating local merchants in markets such as Spain, Mexico, Brazil, and the UK, which significantly reduces delivery times. Added to this is the “Best Price Guarantee” tool on the Big Save channel**, which allows consumers to get a refund if they find a cheaper price for a product elsewhere. This type of measure reinforces the sense of financial security when shopping. A comprehensive experience that fosters customer loyalty Beyond price and shipping, AliExpress has managed to position its platform as a pleasant and enjoyable place to shop. Users frequently mention the ease of use of the app, the speed of the returns process, and the variety of rewards, such as discount coupons and exclusive promotions for regular customers. This combination of factors explains why 92% of Spanish consumers say they are likely to shop on AliExpress again in the future. This repurchase intention rate is one that few platforms achieve in such a saturated market. Testimonials illustrate this level of satisfaction: "I've always had positive experiences: good prices, fast shipping, and nothing has ever arrived damaged," said one customer. Another added: "Now that they've implemented order tracking, I'm even more inclined to buy certain products." In short, AliExpress has understood that the customer experience goes far beyond price, and has successfully built an ecosystem where convenience, speed, trust, and variety combine to create a level of customer loyalty that is uncommon in e-commerce. *This research was conducted by Censuswide with a sample of 250 consumers who have shopped on AliExpress in the past, across Spain.
