From September 2022 to August 2023, users generated more than 24 billion visits to the 50 most used artificial intelligence (AI) tools, with an average monthly growth of 236.3 million visits, according to a report by Writterbuddy (tool of AI specialized in writing), which has analyzed more than 3,000 tools powered by SEMRush.

This analysis highlights the absolute leadership of ChatGPT, which represents 60% of the traffic with 14 billion visits in the period studied.

ChatGPT, Character AI, and Google Bard experienced net traffic growth of 1,800, 463.4, and 68 million visits, respectively.

Craiyon, MidJourney and Quillbot saw the biggest declines during this period.

American users contributed 5.5 billion visits, which represents 22.62% of the total traffic, while European users added 3.9 billion visits.

Chatbot tools are the most popular, totaling 19.1 billion visits.

More than 63% of visits to these tools are made from mobile devices.

69.5% of users are men, compared to 30.5% who are women.
