LinkedIn activates a button so you can report AI-generated junk.

AI Slop, or AI-generated garbage, is becoming a serious problem on social media. We've discussed it on more than one occasion in relation to those absurd, poorly made, and, sadly, highly addictive videos that are increasingly common on TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. In fact, the leading professional social network has been expressing concern about this rise for some time and has now taken a step to try to limit its impact. Thus, in a LinkedIn post, Hari Srinivasan, Chief Product Officer of the company, announced that you can now report the spam you see on LinkedIn. To do so, simply click on the three dots in the upper right corner of a post and select "Seems like AI Slop." This button is already active for users in Spain (though the text is still in English). In Srinivasan's words, “In the comments section alone, we're detecting hundreds of thousands of automated comment attempts every day, and we've blocked billions of other automation attempts (mass posting, spam) in recent months. We're rolling out a number of new and improved classifiers that identify whether a post is AI-generated spam or, more generally, low-quality content. This will reduce the amount of this type of content you might see in recommendations and from people outside your network.” In any case, the executive explains that this measure doesn't go against the use of AI on their social network: “AI and slop aren't the same thing; many people refine their ideas with AI, and we believe they want to know when they sound inauthentic.” He asks, “Why do people post with AI in the first place? The answer is that LinkedIn isn't a place for one-word answers, and users feel more confident running their posts through AI. Leveraging this learning, we're going to remove the 'improve post' feature you see when writing a post or message and replace it with a feature that corrects the text without changing your own voice.” To reinforce this initiative, LinkedIn will continue expanding profile and page verification, “so members know who they're connecting with and who's writing the content they read. You'll also be able to block any comments from company pages you no longer want to see,” they explain.

Generative AI changes the rules of CRO: fewer technical tasks and more business knowledge

Automation is beginning to change how companies approach conversion rate optimization (CRO). Not because it eliminates the need for experimentation, data analysis, or user understanding, but because it's accelerating many of the tasks that, until recently, consumed a significant portion of teams' time. This was one of the main conclusions of a roundtable discussion organized by Bring Connections, featuring professionals from Flat 101, Pro...
