Accor to establish comprehensive e-commerce platform with services beyond rooms

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform for companies, announced this Tuesday that it will become the main global payments partner of Accor, one of the largest hotel companies in the world, which has more than 40 hotel brands in 5,600 establishments spread across more than 110 countries.

Accor aims to establish a comprehensive e-commerce platform that offers a variety of services beyond rooms, including spa services, restaurants and even unique experiences.

The company's intention is to consolidate payments to simplify the booking process and, from an internal perspective, needed to redistribute funds based on the products and services selected by the guest.

Previously, Accor used several payment gateways with different providers. With Stripe, Accor is implementing a single centralized system across all of its hotel properties for online bookings.
