Come on, admit it, you like us. You like what we tell you and how we tell it, you read us regularly, and you keep up with industry news through our publications. And we sincerely appreciate it. We don't usually ask you for anything, but this time is different. Because what we're going to ask is something that will benefit us, but above all, it will be very useful for you. And it's just a click away. A few days ago, Google launched a new feature that allows users worldwide to select their "preferred sources" of information—the media outlets they regularly consult or consider trustworthy. This way, Google will respond to your preferences by showing those sources (those media outlets) more frequently in the "top stories" section of its search results. And no, this doesn't mean you'll only see content from those outlets: you'll still see news from other websites, and you can manage your selections at any time. Okay, so how can you mark your favorite news sources? Well, you have two options: - The first is to search on Google for a topic and click on the icon that appears to the right of Top News, as you can see in the main image of this article. From there, you can search for and select your preferred sources. - The second is to click here. That's all. This link will take you to Google's preferred sources selector, from where it will be very easy to add us. Just check the box next to our name. Once you've done that, when you search for something current, you'll see two blocks of Top News: one general and another for the sources you've chosen. This way, Google will know that you like us, and from then on, it will be easier for you to find our articles on the topics that interest you most.
