A few days ago, Google launched a new feature that allows users worldwide to select their "preferred sources" of information—the media outlets they regularly consult or consider trustworthy. This way, Google will respond to your preferences by showing those sources (those media outlets) more frequently in the "top stories" section of its search results. And no, this doesn't mean you'll only see content from those outlets: you'll still see news from other websites, and you can manage your selections at any time.
